In
order to fulfill my company mission, it is imperative that I join at least four
of the 86,000 trade associations that exist. As Fair Entertainment Opportunity was
established to provide amazing platforms for work connections throughout the
entertainment industry, I will join these four trades listed. 1) The Recording
Industry Association of America, 2) Motion Picture Association of America, 3) American Advertising Federation, 4) Public Relations Society of America.
It is my intention to share fact-finding concepts that are acquired
along the journey.
Taking
a look at a few contemporary trends within MPAA will
facilitate in more effective and strategic position for company growth, and
will serve as the content of this blog topic.
In
a recent commitment to a media mix, it was established that Fair Entertainment
will pitch a Reality TV show concept as a platform to launch the career of my
recording Artist. “Keeping it 100 @ 100 Talmadge Way” is the name of the show
solely designed to interact and connect with people all over the world. The
concept is completely in line with industry trends. Full Sail University course
Business Storytelling & Brand Development offer podcast
to teach how, “ stories (can) enhance
user experience and help develop and emotional connection between customers and
brands.” Following this journey will better poise my company to monitor the
emotional experiences shared.
Investigating
one prototype, (the Reality TV show, Tamar and Vince of We TV seen here) affirms the
powerful impact that this concept could have on the Artist future. The
development of a Television movie proves to be challenging, consequently it has
an enormous potential to generate gigs for more than just one Artist. According to a Recent Fact sheet of 2012
entitled: Intellectual Property Theft A Threat to U.S. Workers, Industries, and
Our Economy the contribution of work by entertainers is often overlooked, but
highly significant part of the overall industry. In this article found here, it says, “
• “The U.S.
motion picture and television industry is an important contributor to the U.S.
economy, with a $11.9 billion trade surplus in 2009 and employing 2.2 million
people.”
With so much
at stake, it is critical to learn some effective strategies that help prevent
one of the greatest risk for the current market, Piracy of CD and DVD’s and IP material. Our
government has created a special division to combat such infringements on
copyrights in the industry.
• “IP theft and that the low
quality of pirated goods can damage a brand or artist’s value and image.”
A recent study
by the Government Accountability Office (GOA) described the divisions’ plans
for protecting intellectual property, U.S. Patent and trademarks. Among many of
the remedies, one that seems applicable to Fair Entertainment Opportunities
would be the rationale of a merger. While the Feds continue to study rather
this method is effective they do encourage its use saying, “ Remedies are used to allow companies to
pursue the economic rational of a merger while protecting consumers from the
harms of decreasing competition.”
Taking the advice of the Federal GOA, Fair Employment Opportunities is considering
the strength and collaboration that could rise from a venture of collaboration
with Reality TV shows that are already firmly established. To boost ratings, expand on Artist
popularity, and mitigate risk of piracy, the up and coming Recording Artist
will be seen visiting a few. As we
approach the New Year, the applications are open to participate in some very
established competitions. These other forms of Reality TV make room for a
company merger with America’s
Got Talent, X Factor and /or
The Voice.
The book Brand Gap teaches, “Business is a process, not an entity.
page(133)>. …successful businesses…behave
more like organisms than organizations,, shifting, growing, dividing and combining
as needed.” Working with any of the
great network executives is a strategy that would create connections and add to
current networking circles tremendously. From these reviews, customer success
stories will provide the needed appeal for building a powerful brand for my
Artist. Here
is another podcast that teaches this technique for understanding how to make a
lasting mark in the industry.
